For applicants holding an offer on one of Central’s BA (Hons) Acting courses.

This generous scholarship has been made possible by the former students of George Hall, teacher, friend and pioneer of the modern Central School of Speech and Drama.

VALUE/NUMBER OF AWARDS: £3,500

APPLICATION DETAILS: Applicants interested in applying the George Hall Scholarship Scholarship must be holding an offer for a BA (Hons) Acting course by 3 May 2019. All relevant applicants holding offers by this date will be invited to apply for the George Hall Scholarship and will be sent an application form together with guidance notes.

Criteria for the awards are based on a combination of merit (promise/ability shown in application form and at audition/interview) and hardship.

ABOUT GEORGE HALL: Acting tutor George Hall arrived at Central at a period of profound change for the School in the early 1960’s, and were instrumental in transforming and modernising the teaching approaches of the Stage course. Over the course of their time at Central, the commitment they showed to their craft shaped and inspired countless students, and they continue to be loved and fondly remembered by many today.
