About The Leverhulme Trust

The Leverhulme Trust was established by the Will of William Hesketh Lever, the founder of Lever Brothers. Since 1925 the Trust has provided grants and scholarships for research and education. Today, it is one of the largest all-subject providers of research funding in the UK, distributing approximately £80m a year. For more information about the Trust, please visit https://www.leverhulme.ac.uk and follow them on Twitter @LeverhulmeTrust.

Central has received generous grants from the Leverhulme Trust to support its Research activities and also Applied Theatre students. Since the first grant in 2007, Leverhulme funding has enabled Central’s Applied Theatre students to learn through vital work study projects and to undertake key elements of their training via placements outside London.

The grant to Central for the period 2022 to 2025 continues to support opportunities for Applied Theatre students and will also enable Central to award six Major Scholarships and eight Final Year Scholarships.
