Outreach and Fair Access

Outreach

Central’s Outreach programme is supported by our Access and Participation Plan. We are committed to training and attracting a diversity of students to all of our undergraduate courses. Our aims are to raise aspirations, school attainment, and encourage progression to higher education. We have developed a series of specialist workshops and masterclasses providing an insight into drama school, the higher education sector and supporting the current school curriculum and Gatsby Benchmarks.


Access Criteria for Schools

  • Students known to be eligible for free school meals is well above the national average.

  • The proportion of disabled students and those with special educational needs is above the national average.

  • The proportion of disadvantaged pupils who are supported by the pupil premium is well above average.

  • Proportion of students are from a minority ethnic background.

Sections

We offer workshops for Year 12 and 13 students studying drama and/or art and design courses.

We offer free auditions for a large number of applicants in order to ensure as many people as possible are able to audition for our BA (Hons) Acting programme.

We have Free Auditions available to eligible applicants.
