The programme covers both historical and contemporary costume and accessories but also focuses on the use of more sustainable materials and costume production methods. Throughout, you will be encouraged to explore your own ideas and pathways within the field of costume production.
From the first year of the programme, you will learn how to collaborate with the wider creative team, working closely with designers, performers and the stage management department. You will engage practically in considerations of representation, designing for diverse body shapes and types, and developing this inclusive practice to shape and challenge the industries you will work in.
