The programme aims to develop and support academically engaged makers with rigorous technical, creative, reflective and collaborative skills. You will learn through workshops, lectures, projects and productions; collaborating with peers and visiting professional practitioners. You will undertake projects which cover research and experimentation of design interpretation and realisation.

This comprehensive training experience is designed to equip you with the practical skills and creative techniques essential in the world of production arts, including the use of sustainable materials and new technologies.

This programme emphasises artistic expression and practical craftsmanship, providing a unique opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the industry. Whether aspiring to work in theatre, film or live events, you will graduate with skills for professional industry  in prop making, scenic painting, and set construction, ready to contribute your creative talents to the dynamic world of visual storytelling.

The Dip HE is a two-year course that enables students to gain the necessary training to be industry-ready, with a breadth of experience and practical skills to pursue your career goals.

The Professional Diploma is a one-year award at level 5 designed for applicants with some industry experience, who wish to develop on previous professional experience, consolidate their knowledge and expand their practical skills.
