Biography

Sarah Sneesby is a Houston, Texas based director, movement director, choreographer, and teacher. She took classes in theatre, dance, and music while completing her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (summa cum laude). After graduation, Sarah continued performing, choreographing, and directing for local theatres until she retired from Oil & Gas to pursue her passion for Movement and Choreography full-time in 2018

Sarah is currently a full-time MFA Movement: Directing and Teaching student at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She strongly believes that the human body is an amazing instrument and the primary storyteller actors and dancers use it to portray information. Sarah creates her work with stylistic accuracy and technical quality focusing on movement being the primary means to externalize thoughts and intentions. As a dance and movement instructor, with both an artistic and scientific training background, she has a passion for helping artists of all ages develop new technical skills and push their preconceived notions and self-imposed boundaries to discover new ways to tell stories with their bodies.
