Biography
Laura’s training includes both BRIT School and the Physical Theatre BA at East 15, and currently the MA Movement: Directing and Teaching with RCSSD. She has extensive experience in fringe and devised theatre, and has been in-house movement director for multiple companies, as well as working regularly within immersive theatre and events. She is a qualified Yoga instructor, and has completed 560 hours YTT. Prior to attending Drama School she taught theatre to students at St. Giles School, Croydon. She has been mentored by physical theatre company Tangled Feet and gained a residency at The New Diorama for a show she co-created in 2016.
As a core company member and movement director with the Owle Schreame theatre company, she has toured the UK and Poland, regularly worked on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, as well as holding residencies with Theatre Deli, and at the University of Chicago in 2018.
Her interests are predominantly in devising and ensemble work, alongside a focus on mask and puppetry. More recently she has explored Creature Bionics with Ace Ruel, and is looking to further explore motion capture and intimacy training.
