The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is, this morning, delighted to announce its results in the 2016 National Student Survey (NSS).

Achieving 90% in Overall Satisfaction for its final year, undergraduate students, Central has been found to be well above the sector average for Universities across the United Kingdom.  The School is delighted to have also scored highly across a broad range of categories including Teaching, Assessment and Feedback, and Academic Support.

Central’s success in the NSS follows a period of notable achievements.  In recognition of its World Leading Research, the School’s Research Grant Allocation was doubled for the 2015-16 academic year. Central’s institution-specific funding allocation was also recently doubled following an independent review by the Higher Education Funding Council for England.

Of the results, Central’s Principal, Professor Gavin Henderson, said:

“Surveys and League Tables bounce up and down, but it is gratifying to see Central so well placed within the specialist sector of Conservatoires across the wide range of individual categories as well as overall satisfaction.”
