Short Courses: Meet Holly Radford

Tell us about yourself!

Hi! I’m currently working at a pub, bartending and waitressing, and I’m about to trial for a part time teaching job at a drama club on the weekends.

I studied at The Emil Dale Academy for a year and I’m hoping to go back to drama school in 2022 to do my honours degree!

How did you find out about Short Courses at Central?

I found out through a friend who had completed a Short Course a few years prior.

What was your main reason for taking a Short Course?

I want to get into drama school and have a career in theatre/film. I plan on auditioning for 2022 entry to drama school.

What was your experience on the course?

The whole thing was incredibly positive, the teaching from Emily Pollet was wonderful, I learned so much and had so much fun! I enjoyed how much 1-1 time we got with our teacher, it felt like it was very catered to us and our personal needs.

What has surprised you the most about your course?

How physical it was even over zoom!

Which 3 words best describe your experience on the course?

Informative, inspiring, fun!

What advice would you give to someone that is thinking about taking a Short Course at Central?

Just do it, it’s so worth it!
