The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is pleased to share that two new members of its Academic team will take up their posts in the Summer 2018 term.

On Thursday, 7 June 2018, comedian Jo Brand led festivities at the topping out ceremony for Central’s new North Block Development.  The topping out served as an opportunity to recognise the achievements of the Design Team and the Contractors and provided a moment to celebrate as the building project nears its completion.

The first ever usage of Augmented Reality (AR) software at Central has been presented publicly as a community engagement project on the North Block building development at Central.

On Friday 9 March, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, together with the Central Students’ Union, were delighted to welcome The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, to the Embassy Theatre for the launch of his new strategy to tackle violence against women and girls.

Central is delighted to announce that staff and former students have been named in University of London’s ‘Leading Women’ campaign for 2018.

Professor Sally Mackey and 'Performing Places Bexley' have been awarded nearly £200,000 of a major new grant given to Bexley Council. The project will focus on the town of Bexleyheath, creating an imaginative fiction with and for the townspeople including extensive outreach workshops in schools and community groups. It will take place in the summers of 2018 and 2019.
