Our research is disseminated in many different ways:  through books – both authored and edited – performances, book chapters, journal articles, designs, productions, software, websites, films, plays, translations, adaptations, masterclasses, and exhibitions.  We try to ensure that our research findings reach as broad an audience as possible through public lectures, seminars, broadcast and print journalism, and specialist workshops. You can find details in our Institutional Repository of some of the works we’ve published, including articles, book chapters and practice research. Recent books published by staff include: Tom Cornford’s Theatre Studios (Routledge, 2020), Maria Delgado’s co-edited Contemporary European Playwrights (Routledge, 2020), Steve Farrier’s co-edited two volume Contemporary Drag Practices and Performances (Bloomsbury, 2020-21), Sarah Grochala’s The Theatre of Rupert Goold (Bloomsbury, 2021), Katharine Low’s Applied Theatre and Sexual Health Communication (Palgrave, 2020), Farokh Soltani’s Radio / Body (Manchester University Press, 2020), and Amanda Stuart Fisher’s Performing the Testimonial (Manchester University Press, 2020).

Also, check out our current research projectsresearch project archive, and staff webpages also provide details of past, current and future projects across the different areas of expertise in the School.
