The creative arts have never been more important.

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 has had a devastating impact on the lives of so many across the world.

The importance of the creative arts has never been more evident than right now. Our industry has the power to entertain, educate and enhance lives from all walks of life.

The contribution of our industry to the UK economy is huge. The creative industries contributed £111.7 billion to the UK during 2018. This is equal to £306 million every day.(gov.uk)

Central has been a leading education provider since 1906. Our mission has always been to develop leading practitioners and researchers. Our teaching looks forward at the future of theatre and performance across the UK and beyond.

Our new future will be different. But performance and theatre have always changed to suit the world we live in. This change is now happening faster than ever. At Central, our students will explore new work, new performance types and new mediums. This is a key part of learning at Central.

We have a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Central. These courses focus on experimenting and collaborating. This is what will allow us to be at the forefront of training the next generation of artists and creatives. This is how we will train our students for the future.
