Biography

Phao is a movement director, facilitator and artist. Phao trained as an actor at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and The National Youth Theatre (NYT), performing in productions at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Team Welcoming ceremonies and The Shaftesbury Theatre. Phao is now an Associate Artist and facilitator for NYT and ensemble storytelling company, The PappyShow. Phao also has a dance training (ISTD) in tap, modern dance, classical ballet and burlesque and has performed and produced cabaret shows around London. She has facilitated within youth engagement programmes and mixed ability ensembles, and is committed to working with inclusive practice. Phao’s research interests include: inclusive practice within ensemble training, actor-centred processes and social dance. Phao is passionate about igniting movement that is expressive, multi-dimensional and performer-centred and cultivating an empowering environment of collaboration and play.
