Profile

Magdalena Douleva is RAND Europe’s Director of Development and leads development activity in Europe. For nearly two decades, Magdalena has partnered with organisations in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium, Egypt, France, the Netherlands, and United States, shaping and delivering major fundraising campaigns with combined goals exceeding £100 million, and securing transformational six- and seven-figure gifts. 

Magdalena’s background is in non-profit fundraising leadership and consulting, and she has worked with a diverse range of organisations across the not-for-profit sector, including Nottingham Trent University, University College Dublin, Rotterdam School of Management, Hult International Business School, the International Union for Conservation of Nature, Christian Aid, Voluntary Service Overseas and the Schlumberger Foundation.  

Magdalena has a proven track record of sensitively managing external and internal relationships at the highest level, coordinating and coaching fundraising committees, conducting feasibility and planning studies, creating principal and major gift strategies, and developing vision and case statements. She also possesses significant experience directing all aspects of fundraising and engagement operations and building and leading teams — principal and major gifts (including trusts and foundations and corporate), regular and planned giving, prospect and database management, donor stewardship, alumni and corporate relations, communications, as well as institutional capacity development, strategy development, resource allocation and budget oversight. 

Magdalena previously served as vice president with CCS Fundraising, a global strategic fundraising firm, and as a volunteer with CASE Europe and Chapel & York, promoting international best practice in educational advancement and cross-border fundraising.
