Profile

Ameer is a professional actor and acting teacher. Ameer has an MA in Applied Theatre from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama having previously trained as an actor at Guildford School of Acting (GSA Conservatoire) completing his degree at The University of Hull.  He is also a Qualified Teacher having studied on the graduate teacher training programme at The University of Reading.

Ameer has held roles as a Visiting Lecturer and Outreach facilitator for RADA, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and RABBLE Theatre Company.  As of 2020, he is the new Acting for Stage and Screen BA Course Leader at PPA, Guildford.

As a performer, Ameer has worked in theatre, television and film.  Highlights on the credit list would be working on “London Road” the feature film directed by Rufus Norris, that transferred from the National Theatre.  He works regularly as a freelance facilitator for the NYT and the Old Vic as well as leading Unconscious Bias Training Sessions for TALAWA.
