Prop Making: An Introduction

Unleash your creativity in this one-week prop making course, taking place in Central’s prop workshop.

Under the guidance of expert prop maker, India Allin, you will discover creative techniques to make realistic 3D models of strawberry and lemon tartlets using a variety of materials.

Whether you are a budding prop maker or just want to have fun learning some new skills, this course is for you.

Course Content

Learn how to work with scale
Develop skills in sculpting, mould making, casting, plaster, painting and finishing techniques
Work with a variety of materials, including clay, jesmonite and plaster
Make an original piece that you can take home with you

Days	Various. The course consists of 4 sessions, delivered over consecutive days, Monday - Thursday
Times	10am - 5pm All times listed are either GMT or GMT +1 (depending on the time of year).
Age	The minimum age is 18 on the first day of the course. There is no upper age limit.
Max. class size	10 students
Course Delivery	The course will take place in Central’s prop workshop with access to essential materials and tools
International students	We welcome International Students to our courses, however please ensure you are on the correct visa. As our Evening and Summer Short Courses are classed as part-time, non-accredited short courses they are not eligible for a Tier 4 Student Visa however you may be eligible for a Short Term Study Visa.
Language requirements	Applicants must be confident speaking and reading English to a conversational level (IELTS score of 7.0 or equivalent).
Attendance	Due to the structure and the collaborative nature of the courses, full attendance is requested.
Refunds	We are able to offer a full refund up until 7 days before the course begins. After this, the course will become fully non-refundable.
Cancellations	Central reserves the right to cancel this course if we do not meet the minimum number of participants. In this instance, a full refund will be made to you. We are unable to refund any other costs you may have incurred.
