Following the UK Government announcement made on 4 January 2021 of a new national lockdown and further guidance received from the Department for Education,  Central’s campus will remain closed for on-site teaching provision for the Spring term. All teaching, learning and assessments will be delivered online for the Spring term . We are planning that face to face teaching will begin again from 6 April  2021 on a course by course basis.

The health, safety and well-being of our students, staff and our wider community is our priority.

This action is being taken in direct response to the UK Government’s guidance for Universities which was issued on 4 January 2021.

Our course teams are working to ensure the best experience for all our students and we are exploring flexibility around our spring and summer term dates, again, on a course by course basis.

Course leaders will be in touch with students over the next week to provide further details.

The UK Government is advising students to remain where they are wherever possible. Students who are already at their term time address should not move back and forward between their permanent home and student home during term time.

Update on Asymptomatic Testing Appointments at the University of London

Students and staff who had booked a January appointment date for Lateral Flow testing at the University of London as part of the government’s mass COVID-19 university testing scheme are advised to please cancel that appointment if they are no longer able to attend.

There is a link to cancel the test appointment within the confirmation email sent by the University of London after booked.  Cancelling an appointment will allow that time slot to be made available to someone else who needs it.
