Explore Central's New Virtual Tour

Explore Central's Design, Performance, Production, Social and Study spaces in a VR tour

Wednesday, 1 November 2017

Central is delighted to announce the launch of its new 360 degree Virtual Campus Tour.

The Virtual Tour is a Google Streetview-style panoramic photography platform which allows users to access Central’s facilities from anywhere in the world, via desktop, tablet and mobile. The fully mobile-friendly experience also includes an option to use with VR headsets, such as Google Cardboard – all you need is a mobile phone and a decent 3G/4G or wifi connection.

In total, over 40 separate spaces are covered on the tour, classified by how they are used: Performance, Production & Workshops, Social Areas, Rehearsal & Movement, Study Spaces, and Central Bankside. Many of the spaces were photographed as they were being used by students to give users a truer experience of what Life at Central might be like.

The tour gives unprecedented access to many behind-the-scenes spaces which would not normally be viewable during a visit to Central, such as the Props workshop, Boardroom, Recording Studio and Embassy Substage.
