Central is excited to announce the launch of the Recite Me accessibility toolbar on its website to coincide with The International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2021

As part of Central’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy, it aims to make the School’s website more accessible for its users.

With the addition of Recite Me, website visitors are now able to access a wide range of accessibility and language support tools. This allows users to customise their digital experience through Recite Me assistive technology.

The change will enable Central to provide a more inclusive experience to its users and to better support the over 20% of the population that may encounter barriers when seeking information online.

The Recite Me assistive toolbar on the Central website includes:

  • Screen reading functionality

  • Reading aids

  • Customisable styling options

  • On-demand live translation feature with over 100 languages

Kim Myers, Equality, Diveristy and Inclusion Manager, commented: ”Diversity and Inclusion are at the forefront of our strategic plan for the future, so we are proud to be able to provide Recite Me’s innovative assistive technology across our website.”

To use Recite Me, click the red ‘Accessibility and Languages’ button on the top right of the website. Access our Recite Me Accessibility Toolbar User Guide to learn more about the features of the Recite Me toolbar, keyboard shortcuts and FAQs.
