Central Attends Taut Danning Student Fair in Norway
From 12 – 13 February, Central staff were pleased to represent the School at the Taut Danning Student Fair in Oslo Central.
The Taut Danning student fairs are the largest of their kind in Norway and are held in ten central cities throughout the country during January and February each year. They attract more than 80,000 visitors annually. The fair at Oslo Central is one of the largest on offer and gives more than 15,000 Norwegian students the unique opportunity to meet Higher Education providers from both Norway and abroad.
Studying abroad is particularly popular among Norwegian students, with approximately 25,000 choosing to do so each year. As such, a wide range of both Norwegian and international exhibitors participate in the Taut Danning fairs. In 2019 alone, over 20 countries were represented at their events.
The Oslo Central fair marked Central’s first time exhibiting in Norway and allowed the School to meet with prospective Norwegian students and introduce them to the range of courses available at Central. It also provided an occasion for those interested in Central to get answers to specific questions about study, career opportunities for graduates, the practicalities of international study and the experience of student life in London more generally.
Jasper Hardcastle, Student Recruitment and Marketing Officer at Central, attended Oslo Central on behalf of the School and said of the fair:
“It was great to see enthusiastic students, many of whom already knew about Central and our rich history. It was pleasing to meet prospective students with a passion to study in a number of different course areas from acting to lighting and sound.”
