Biography

Dan is a contemporary dance artist based in Coventry and around the West Midlands. Training in musical theatre from a young age, musicality and movement have always been at the forefront of his practise. Throughout his undergraduate at  the University of Roehampton, Dan started to explore performance and choreography through multiple contemporary techniques and translating efforts from Laban. This allowed him to gain the skill set needed to choreograph multiple performances at his time within the institution.

As a Dyslexic, Dan has evolved his teaching and directing through utilising a bodily-kinaesthetic approach. Combining this with his passion for music, this has allowed him to utilise his movement skills to translate movement needs and wants to a diverse range of groups and communities across the years. Dan has worked with communities to achieve performance goals and opportunities from small scale performances to large scale.

Dan is currently exploring actor movement and ensemble movement by using Laban technique with contemporary dance underpinnings.
