On 26 and 27 November 2015, Musical Theatre students from Central returned once more to Derby for their fourth annual residency at The Guildhall Theatre and with their touring production of ‘Pentecost’.  Alongside the productions, Central ran a series of targeted workshops with area students, offered Q&A sessions about the process of applying for drama school, visited local colleges to discuss the benefits of further study and, more generally, showcased the breadth of degrees and careers on offer in the arts.

On Monday 7 December, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama hosted its annual Graduation Ceremony at The Royal Festival Hall.  Alongside a class of highly promising new graduates, Central awarded Honorary Fellowship to three extraordinary members of the industry: David Jubb, Rebecca Lenkiewicz and Barbara Windsor.

Central is pleased to announce that Dr Simon Donger has been nominated for a Golden Mask Award for his lighting and projection work on "Hero of our Time" at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.

Central alumna Cathy Englade (MA Applied Theatre, 2012), along with Dr Selina Busby (MA Applied Theatre Course Leader), current students Qita Iseley and Rachel Hunter (both BA Drama, Applied Theatre & Education, 2015) and a New York based production team, are developing the second phases of The Crossing Bridges Project in partnership with Central and Covenant House International, an NGO that shelters and aides more than 55,000 homeless and trafficked youth annually throughout six countries.
