Originally from Melbourne Australia and having also trained in Paris and Japan, Stephanie now calls London home. Beginning her career as an actor, Stephanie's practice has since evolved into the world of movement direction, teaching and facilitating opportunities to collaborate with artists in different mediums. From 2010-14 Stephanie was a member of the contemporary classical music and interdisciplinary arts organisation Forest Collective as a movement director, writer, performer and operations manager. She regularly collaborates with Chris Bennet of Underground Media to create movement based film projects and in 2016 she was part of the street art, sound and dance company Neon Laneway's project for Melbourne White Night. After several years training and practicing in both eastern and western forms of movement based theatre she has developed a specific interest in the relationship and contrast between the two. The styles she has worked with include Lecoq, butoh, nihonbouyo, noh and Suzuki actor training. She has performed Noh and Nihonbouyo at the 200 + year old Oe Noh theatre in Kyoto and continues to practice in London with Kayono Wakayagi in Nihonbouyo.
