Morgan Barbour is an American interdisciplinary performer and artist based in London. She hails from an eclectic background in physical theatre, circus, modeling, and martial arts. She has performed and movement directed in both North America and Europe, working in theatre, film, and television. Presently she is collaborating with AltspaceVR as a movement director, performer, and researcher in the pursuit of bringing physically engaging live performances to a social virtual reality platform.
In September 2014 she co-founded Blazing Change Players, an educational physical theatre company with a mission to create original, challenging, and dynamic dramatic works that serve as a platform for discussion about social inequality. Since BCP's conception its principle work, By the Bi, has been produced in five countries and recognized by Amnesty International UK as a production “inspiring audiences to think about human rights.”
Her work as a model and photographer has been published and throughout the USA, UK, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, and Australia, appearing in such publications as Vogue Italia and Human Magazine.
Additional credits include editorial work in The Huffington Post and Quail Bell Magazine. Barbour has written three plays which have been produced in the USA, UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
