Lama has a back ground in athletics, starting as a gymnast from the age of 6. She also trained in ballet and Kung-Fu. Aged 10 years she started training as a basketball player at school, joining the Riyadi Club in Lebanon. From the age of 14 she became a professional Basketball player. During this early stage Lama also undertook folk dance and acting alongside her athletics training and competition. After playing basketball and football in the first division Lebanese league with different clubs in Lebanon, she shifted her focus onto acting. She performed in small community projects in Lebanon. In 2011 she performed in a puppet play Man sayafthou Al Abwab in Qatar. The same year she finished her BA in Graphic design at the Hariri institute. Whilst undertaking a second BA in Physical education at the Lebanese University she began to teach PE at the Al Allama Sobhi Al Saleh school. During this time she realized her passion for theatre and stopped her career in sport. During her actor training, she had an opportunity to work with Sima Dance Company and she performed in Dubai for the Monodrama Festival. In 2015, she was selected to participate in Home Grown Theatre Project, a collaboration with the Kevin Spacey Foundation in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The same year she participated in the Watermill Centre Summer Program with Robert Wilson she performed on two Operas, Amal and the night visitor and Turandot New York. In the summer of 2016, Lama will be working with movement director Anna Morrissey as an assistant at Old Vic Community project Company.
