An award-winning theatre director, who was the inaugural associate director for Project 2036 at the Bush Theatre in 2016/17. He also worked as a trainee associate director at HOME in Manchester, as a recipient of the BBC Performing Arts Fellowship in 2015. In the same year he was also a recipient of the Genesis Future Directors Award for the production of Creditors by August Strindberg at the Young Vic Theatre. 

In 2012, Rikki was assistant director to Rufus Norris on Vernon God Little (Young Vic). From 2012-2014, he was assistant director at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris to Peter Brook. He worked on the production of The Suit by Can Themba, managing the international tour to 16 different countries including America, France and Japan. in 2014, he was assistant director at the National Theatre on Romeo and Juliet.

In 2018, he was invited by Martin Kusej to direct a new adaptation of the Greek tragedy Antigone at the Residenz Theater in Germany.
