Profile

Ioli trained as an actor in Athens, Greece, where she developed a particular interest in movement practices. After her graduation, Ioli worked as a performer in a number of productions in Greece, focusing primarily on devising processes through the body. While in Athens, she had the opportunity to work as an assistant movement teacher at drama schools and eventually decided to continue her movement training at Laban School of Contemporary Dance. In 2012 she gained her MA in Movement Studies from Central and later begun her PhD studies at Central Saint Martins.

Since 2015, she has been a visiting lecturer and academic tutor on the MA Movement: Directing and Teaching course at Central. Ioli has also taught at Rose Bruford, East 15, Royal College of Art, Central Saint Martins, London Metropolitan University and the University of Exeter (Drama Department). Recently, she has been co-developing a series of explorative workshops for actors and performers with disabilities.
