Portrait of Carla Collins

Profile

Carla gained her MA in Voice Studies at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and has been working for the business programmes at Central since graduating. She originally trained and worked in Musical Theatre, performing in touring productions such as The Rocky Horror Show, before moving into communications in the corporate sector and the Civil Service. This range of experience informs her ability to adapt voice skills from professional actor training and apply them to the corporate environment. She works to help clients understand their voice and how to express themselves with clarity, authority and impact.

Carla works with clients in group workshops and on a one-to-one basis, covering subjects such as building presence, public speaking and interview strategies. Clients include HM Revenue and Customs, British Airways, Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, KPMG, Aukette Swanke, Marks and Spencer, Unicef, The Financial Times and Imperial College London.

Carla also works as an accent and dialect coach and has taught Central students on the BA Acting and MA Acting for Screen courses, as well as a range of private clients.
