Musical Theatre is one of the most popular elements of British theatre, with a growing number of West End shows attracting visitors worldwide.
This course gives you the opportunity to explore how to perform in musical theatre and to develop skills used in the various performance strands of musical theatre - singing, movement (not dance) and acting. You will also be able to develop the ability to express yourself by enhancing the acting skills demanded in this theatrical form.
You will need to bring two contrasting songs to the course, which you may use in the final presentation.
Dates: Monday 9th July - Friday 20th July. Monday - Friday each week. 10:00 - 16:30 each day.
Minimum Age: 18 years
Note: Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must be confident speaking English to a conversational level (ideally IELTS score of 7.0 or equivalent).
Visas and Immigration: If you are not from an EU or EEA country or Switzerland, you will need to obtain a Visa prior to entry to the UK (if you are a visa national) or upon entry to the UK (if you are a non-visa national). It is each student's responsibility to have the right documentation for study when they arrive at Central.
Please note that you cannot enter the UK on a Visitor's Visa if your primary reason for travel is to study on this course. if you do not have a valid visa you will not be allowed to study at Central.
