Managing Your Finances

Going to university is a big investment and managing your finances as a student can be difficult. The Student Advice Service is available to help students experiencing any difficulties such as a shortage of funds, debt, budgeting and student support entitlement such as applying for hardship funds.

Student Advice Service staff also provide assistance with Student Finance enquiries regarding their maintenance loans and grants.

Any students with financial questions or concerns can contact the Student Advice Service or visit the Student Advice Service during the opening hours.

Student Loans

Home and EU students beginning their first undergraduate courses can obtain comprehensive information on student finance and support on Government Student Finance website.

Applications for Student finance for the academic year 2016/17 open at the following times:

UK full-time students – January 2016

EU full-time students – April 2016

It is important to ensure you qualify for Student Finance before you apply.
