The Captain’s Scholarship is for undergraduate students on either Stage Management or Technical and Production Management of the BA (Hons) Theatre Practice.

This generous scholarship has been made possible by friends, family and former colleagues of Petrus who have collectively donated to build a scholarship in his memory. 

COURSES: Undergraduate students studying on the third and final year of their Stage Management or Technical Production Management course.

ELIGIBILITY: Home/EU/Overseas.

VALUE/NUMBER OF AWARDS: 1 x £1,690.

APPLICATION DETAILS: All eligible applicants will be contacted over the summer with details on how to apply. Applicants will need to demonstrate their financial need, commitment to the course and state what the funds will be used for.

ABOUT PETRUS BERTSCHINGER

Petrus Bertschinger (1961-2015) was a long-standing member of the Central community from his time as a student in the 1980s to his most recent role as Senior Lecturer at the School. Petrus graduated from Central in 1984 and had 32 years professional experience as stage manager, production manager and theatre consultant including Production Manager for Matthew Bourne’s Adventures in Motion Pictures, and ten years with Unicorn Theatre.
