I do question when I go to the theatre why I watch certain actors, I am drawn to those working in a physically integrated way, their craft appears seamless. Working with the body and movement is an essential part of any actors’ craft. Over the years I have developed an integrative approach to movement that is informed by my eclectic experiences, intuition and curiosity in life and art. I am fascinated by the vast potential that movement has on the opening of an experiential and non verbal realm, the sensory experience of the bodies as well as their transforming ability.

Exploring how somatic movement practises and contact improvisation fundamentals informs how I engage as a Movement Director and work with actors. I am interested in the impact on humanness and what is the nature of humanness, these practises can be applied across a diverse range of ages, abilities, disabilities and disciplines.
