Dr Walter Ross Estate Scholarship

For applicants holding an offer on any BA (Hons) course.

This generous scholarship has been made possible by Dr Walter Ross, a former Govenor of the School, who left a bequest to the School in his will. The scholarship is for applicants holding an offer on any BA (Hons) course, in financial hardship, whose lives have been transformed through, and who are committed to entering a theatrical career.

COURSES: All BA courses.

ELIGIBILITY: Home/ELQ.

VALUE/NUMBER OF AWARDS: 2 x £3,400

APPLICATION DETAILS: All eligible applicants will be contacted during the summer with details on how to apply. Applicants will need to demonstrate their financial need, commitment to the course and state what the funds will be used for.

ABOUT DR WALTER ROSS: Central to Dr Walter Ross’s vision for education was the belief in the capacity of the arts to transform the lives of individuals and communities. To Walter, engaging in acting enabled people to explore their own humanity as well as the personal and moral dilemmas of the character he or she is playing.
