Lilian Baylis Award

For a second year student studying any BA (Hons) Acting course.

The Lilian Baylis Award rewards promising acting students who are facing financial hardship.

COURSES: Second year students studying on Central’s BA (Hons) Acting Acting (all courses) - Acting, Acting (CDT) and Acting (Musical Theatre).

ELIGIBILITY: Home/EU/Overseas.

VALUE/NUMBER OF AWARDS: 1 x £1,500.

APPLICATION DETAILS: All eligible students will be contacted in the Spring Term with details on how to apply. Applicants will need to demonstrate their financial need, commitment to the course and state what the funds will be used for.

ABOUT LILIAN BAYLIS: Lilian Baylis was an English theatrical producer and manager. She managed the Old Vic and Sadler's Wells theatres in London and ran an opera company, which became the English National Opera (ENO); a theatre company, which evolved into the English National Theatre; and a ballet company, which eventually became The Royal Ballet.
