Priiya is a genderqueer theatre maker and performer from India. Their practice is based in protest theatre and community theatre focusing on using performing arts to elicit narratives of subversion through class, gender and identity. Their interest lies in finding agency of the body placed within cultural, social and environmental landscapes. Their current enquiry into movement practices is deeply influenced by metaphors of embodiment through awareness of anatomy and inner rhythms of the moving body.
