Profile
I’m a TV lecturer, and I studied at the University of East Anglia in 2001 and went back for my MA in Creative Writing in 2011. I’ve taught at the London Film School, NYU London, Roehampton, and delivered guest session at the NFTS and Cambridge. As well as teaching, I work as a TV writer and was a producer for nearly 20 years.
A comedy drama I wrote about Muhammad Ali as part of the Urban Myths season for Sky Arts was nominated for an International Emmy, and I’ve written TV episodes for Sky, the BBC, and script edited on multiple shows. I also have several sitcoms and dramas in development with production companies.
My writing has led me to work with some of the UK’s top companies and performers, and as a result of my writing I was hired by Google to create empathy in their chatbot. I am also an independent author, having written a non-fiction book: The Craft of Character, as well as fiction.
