Mad Like Fringe: Central debut live stream on Facebook

Central will be Facebook live streaming Edinburgh Fringe Q&As in association with Mad Like Roar

Wednesday, 12 July 2017

Central partnered in 2017 with graduate theatre company Mad Like Roar to deliver a series of live Q&As about Edinburgh Fringe Festival on Facebook.

Building on the ever-increasing flow of Edinburgh Fringe shows produced or starring Central alumni – in 2016 there were 60 shows - the live Q&As focus on the process of successfully forming a show and taking it to the Fringe. Mad Like Roar, a theatre company consisting of a number of Central BA Acting (Collaborative & Devised Theatre) alumni, will be hosting the sessions, and interviewing fellow graduate companies that are taking their devised shows to the Fringe this year.

Throughout the three episodes, listeners can expect to get to know some of the challenges that face emerging theatre companies, a discussion of theatre practice, rehearsal processes and of course, all things Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The series wraps up on Friday 29 July when they’ll be streaming live from Edinburgh.

You can watch the Mad Like Fringe series on Central’s Facebook account, and each episode will be available to watch on catch up afterwards via the ‘videos’ tab.

About Mad Like Roar

Formed whilst studying together on BA Acting (Collaborative & Devised Theatre) at Central in 2015, Mad Like Roar are a devised theatre company who specialise in play and ensemble led theatre, finding the madness in the mundane. They create imaginative and honest work that is constantly evolving and changing. Their work comes from a reaction to the outside world; they grapple with tender, vicious and extraordinary stories whilst maintaining a light touch and strong sense of humour. They were winners of the New Diorama Theatre Emerging Graduate Companies Programme in association with Hiive 2016.
