Curatorial Statement

Honestly, it’s been tough.

For the past few months we’ve grappled with our instincts, adapting our practices to fit the “new normal”. We’ve all grown familiar with the internet in a more personal way than ever, placing our trust in it to execute our visions. Periods of panic, numbness and optimism have shaped us over the past few months,

But…

We and our tutors have done it, and have made beautiful work for you to enjoy. We want this work to unite us, but also illustrate the distinct differences in the ways we’ve responded to our studies at Central, and the intercepting pandemic.

We are people with a vast variety of practices all trying to make work within this new digital frame, reflecting on the current state of the world, and etching new histories into this unventured landscape.

We are sitting still / and we are moving always.
