Overview
After last year’s The Tunnel, an exploration of theatre during the Siege of Sarajevo, the same team return to explore how the arts and activism unite in demonstrations. Today, young and old are finding their voice against vested interests through movements, such as The Sardines in Italy, Extinction Rebellion and movements begun around individuals such as Greta Thunberg’s schools protest, as well as in protests in Hong Kong, Chile, France, Mexico, Australia and Colombia. The Plaza is the public space where these demonstrations happen.
MA Music Theatre bring a global perspective to this challenging and changing space and show how, so often, music, performance, theatre and creativity help shape and forge change.
