Overview

Sophie Germain. Mathematician. Trailblazer. Woman. Neglected by history. Until now. The extraordinary true story of a forgotten genius explodes onto the stage in this bold new musical. Set against the backdrop of the French Revolution, Sophie’s journey is brought to life through a vibrant pop-rock score, charting the highs and lows of a woman determined to succeed in a system not built to allow it.

The Limit and Catch Me are two new UK musicals by four acclaimed young writers. Each musical is performed by two casts of MA Music Theatre students. The four multi-camera filmed productions will be streamed on 7, 8, 14 & 15 November. The writers were fully involved in the production process - establishing a new way of creating and presenting full-scale theatre in a time where it seemed impossible, through multicam and digital distribution.

Learn more about the production journey in ‘Making New Musical Theatre in a pandemic’ by Adam Lenson.
