Coram Boy was adapted from Jamila Gavin’s novel and premiered at the National Theatre in 2005 to huge critical acclaim. The play tells the tale of two orphans at the Coram Hospital in London and their journey to unlock their past and create a future. An epic drama that delves into the dark worlds of child murder, exploitation and desperate cruelty that underpinned the lives of so many people.

This exciting ensemble piece of theatre is set to the glorious choruses of Handel’s Messiah and gives fragile glimpses of the possibility of redemption.

Please be aware that the performance contains themes of a sexual, violent and distressing nature.

By arrangement with Nick Hern Books.
