Explore and practice using some of the most powerful ways to frame your ideas in order to influence your listeners.

Classical speakers in Greece and Rome came from societies where words were heard far more than read, and orators learnt to make impact through shaping sentence structure and arranging their argument to make memorable, persuasive impact. Learn how to use these techniques to make your next presentation, meeting or pitch more persuasive and impactful.

You will:

  • Examine rhetorical devices using word order, sentence structure, questioning, humour and irony
  • Discover how Classical speakers achieved influence by understanding their audience
  • Practise transforming your own presentations by using classical rhetoric devices which use psychology to make your message dramatic, memorable and persuasive

Rhetoric and the Art of Persuasion is led by a fully qualified Voice and Communications Trainer. Group sizes are limited to 8 participants to ensure maximum impact and individual feedback. The course will run 9.30am - 12.30pm and is held at one of Central's London venues.
