Presentation work has much in common with an actor’s performance, and we will work to incorporate performance techniques drawn from the acting world to deliver memorable presentations.

Learn about presence and power in performance, and how we can enhance these attributes through outer techniques such as pitch, pace, pause and vocal technique and inner techniques such as given circumstances, objectives and actions. We will also look at how to engage persuasive rhetorical elements to drive home your message. Explore different communication styles and apply them to relevant scenarios to encourage confident flexibility in presentations.

You will:

  • Practise the essential elements of presentations – analysing the space, connecting with the audience and delivering with impact
  • Learn key vocal techniques to enhance your delivery
  • Explore the use of rhetoric, storytelling and flexible communication styles to help land your message

Performance in Presentation is led by a fully qualified Voice and Communications Trainer. Group sizes are limited to 8 participants to ensure maximum impact and individual feedback. The course will run 9.30am - 12.30pm and is held at one of Central's London venues.
