Lionel Bart Foundation Award

Available to students on any BA (Hons) Acting course who are progressing to their third year.

The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is pleased to announce the continuation of The Lionel Bart Foundation Award.

The Lionel Bart Foundation was established in 1999 following the death of the renowned writer and composer who is best known for writing the book, music and lyrics of the musical Oliver! The Foundation supports undergraduate and postgraduate students wishing to pursue a career in the theatre. The Lionel Bart Foundation awards are normally worth £2,000 per student with one-two awards to Central students made annually.

The Lionel Bart Foundation aims to help final year students who are suffering financial hardship.

COURSES: Second-year students studying on BA (Hons) Acting (all courses) - Acting, Acting (CDT) and Acting (Musical Theatre), who are progressing to their third year.

ELIGIBILITY: Home/EU/Overseas.

VALUE/NUMBER OF AWARDS: Varies.

APPLICATION DETAILS: All eligible students will be contacted in the Spring Term with details on how to apply. Applicants will need to demonstrate their financial need, commitment to the course and state what the funds will be used for.
