Julia loved Central, where she trained. Right from her first days at Central in 1968, her talent and character shone through and she became pivotal to her class of fellow drama teachers.

“I remember Jools for her distinctive voice, her precision in all things, her wry sense of humour and above all her commitment to friendship.”  - Julia’s classmate at Central.

Julia’s character and rich reservoir of knowledge helped her to build a stellar career, making the most of her abilities, and developing those of others.  Julia was privileged to work with many of our contemporary great talents in theatre, film and television, and likewise they were privileged to work with her.

The Scholarship in Julia’s memory means that she will be remembered, not only in past film credits and theatre programmes and in the memories of those who knew her, but in a lasting memorial supporting future generations of voice students at the School she loved so much.
