Honouring George Hall, and the late Litz Pisk | The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama

Honouring George Hall, and the late Litz Pisk

Both George and Litz arrived at Central at a period of profound change for the School in the early 1960’s, and were instrumental in transforming and modernising the teaching approaches of the Stage course. Over the course of their time at Central, the commitment they showed to their craft shaped and inspired countless students, and they continue to be loved and fondly remembered by many today.

Our aim is two-fold. First we want to mark the contribution made by these two outstanding teachers by raising a total of £10,000 to name two rehearsal rooms in their honour. All contributions will be acknowledged, whether for £50, £500 or £5,000 on a special commemorative plaque, which will be displayed prominently in each room, and at a special naming ceremony. Secondly we intend to create two scholarships in their names to continue their legacy and to support the next generation of students by awarding these scholarships to two promising students who would not otherwise be able to train at Central. We need to generate £140,000 to achieve this second goal. All funds raised will be directly used for the benefit of Central students.
