Are you eligible for Clearing?

You are eligible to apply to Central through Clearing if you meet one of the following conditions:

  • You made a UCAS application this year but didn’t receive any offers;
  • You made a UCAS application this year but declined the offers you received;
  • You have received your results and didn’t meet the conditions of your offers;
  • You are making a UCAS application for the first time this year;
  • You were accepted elsewhere but have chosen to decline your place and be released to Clearing.

Design for the Stage, BA

Theatre Lighting Design at CentralLearn to design lighting for live performance, develope creative & technical expertise, and practical skills such as rigging, focusing and plotting for lighting and video.

Production Lighting, BA

Production Lighting at CentralAs a student on the Production Lighting Course, you will learn to plan, rig, focus, plot and maintain lighting and video rigs for theatre and other live shows. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside professionals on realised projects within Central and in industry settings.

Scenic Art, BA

Scenic Art at CentralScenic Artists are responsible for painting backdrops and set pieces for theatre, film, television and other modes of display. You will learn to interpret set designs – period or modern, abstract or representational, develop a high-level of technical competence and skills in research and interpretation and much more.

Scenic Construction, BA

Scenic Construction at CentralLearn traditional construction skills and experiment with newer materials and techniques, plan and build sets for a variety of contexts including theatre, film, television, events and advertising. Bursaries and Scholarships

Although it is late in the application process, there may still be a small number of bursaries and scholarships available for late applicants to apply for. 

The Admissions Team will be able to state what is available when organising an interview date.

 

Interested in studying Acting in 2019?

Applications for the BA (Hons) Acting courses have now closed for 2019 entry and will reopen in September 2019 for October 2020 entry. However those interested in pursuing further training in acting can still apply for our Gap Year Diploma which provides a year of part time, practical training.
