Teaching Staff

Our Lecturers, Readers and Professors as well as the many Visiting Professionals that work with us, all contribute to an environment where excellence is our aim.

Many of the staff at Central are research productive and disseminate their research across a range of forms and media. We encourage staff to undertake research that is innovative and influential, by facilitating a culture that inspires and supports high-quality research and brings on promising early-career researchers.

We offer supervisory expertise for doctoral students across a range of areas from dramaturgy to drama therapy, social theatre, queer performance and sound design.

We employ a large number of Visiting Professionals (approximately 200 in any one year). These are people who work as movement directors, actors, directors, lighting designers, set constructors, applied and community theatre practitioners, teachers, production managers, prop makers, voice coaches and so on.
