Donor Charter

The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is grateful to the many companies, charitable trusts and individuals who make generous financial contributions towards its work. 


When you make a commitment to Central we make the following commitment to you: 

  • We will be honest, truthful, transparent and professional in our dealings with you.

  • We will acknowledge your gift swiftly, handle it responsibly and apply it to the purpose for which it was given.

  • We will respect your privacy and will only release details of your gift with your consent or if disclosure is required by law.

  • We will keep you informed about the project that you are supporting in an honest and accessible manner. 

  • We will make available on request the Code for Ethical Fundraising which includes a policy on managing fundraising and administrating gifts, a policy on accepting gifts and a policy on dealing with vulnerable persons.

  • We will comply with all domestic and international legislation, including Tax legislation, General Data Protection Regulation 2018, the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, the UK. Bribery Act 2010 and the National Security & Investment Act 2021.

  • We will respond to any concerns you might have swiftly and efficiently. 

  • We will recognise your support in donor lists, unless you request to be anonymous.

Central adheres to the Code of Fundraising Practice, monitored by the Fundraising Regulator. Complaints should be addressed to the Head of Development and Alumni Engagement at development@cssd.ac.uk
