Course Detail

Features of the scheme

  • You will be interviewed in the normal way for your undergraduate programme, but may receive additional questions in relation to your proposed master’s course.
  • If accepted onto the scheme, by achieving a minimum of an upper second class honours grading in your three-year undergraduate programme, you will be deemed to have met the entry criteria for your chosen MA programme.
  • You will have the opportunity to change your MA course choice during the course of your undergraduate study by negotiation.
  • You will have the opportunity to sit in on MA course sessions, one-to-one diagnostic sessions with the MA course leader and receive advice about choices of topic or project at undergraduate level that will best suit your MA study.
  • You may be advised or directed to undertake certain project options during your undergraduate course where other options are deemed less appropriate to your intended master’s course.
  • In order to progress to MA level you will be expected to pass your undergraduate programme with a minimum of upper second class honours. Those who achieve a lower-second degree may still be admitted, but will be required to undertake an interview during July of their third year.

What are the benefits?

  • easier financial and visa planning and continuity of housing
  • continuity of experience, with pre-course diagnostic coaching and course preparation from your MA tutor before entry, and continued contact with your undergraduate tutor while you are on your MA course
  • increased security
  • attainment of a University of London BA (Hons) and MA within four years.
